Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
The world has masked the meaning of the words used in the Bible to describe sexual sin. The Apostle Paul said these sins are evident, but many people don’t even know what the words mean. All sin is serious business with God, but He lists sexual sins first on the list because it is so incredibly destructive to the Kingdom of God.
It’s important for believers to know the meaning of the words God uses to describe sexual sin so they do not remain ignorant to the Truth of God’s Word and get trapped in Satan's snare. The following are the definitions:
ADULTERY: Voluntary sexual activity between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse.
FORNICATION: Sexual activity between people not married to each other.
UNCLEANNESS: In this context, uncleanness is the general term for all unchastity and sexual impurity. Whether in thought, word, or action. This includes, but is not limited to, all unnatural sexual activity including homosexuality, sodomy, and masturbation.
LASCIVIOUSNESS: Wantonness, all lustful thoughts, anything that leads on to acts of uncleanness, including impure words, filthy gestures, and the like. Openly shameful behavior or activity. All immodesty, including the indulging of wanton thoughts, and reading lascivious books. The Greek word means anything, inward or outward, that is contrary to chastity and purity.
As we read these definitions, it’s easy to determine how totally corrupt and evil the world today is. We need to take all this to heart because at the end of the list, the Apostle makes the following statement: of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
It's God's desire that all be saved and inherit the Kingdom of God, but He is Righteous and Just. Therefore, He will not go against His own Word. God does not send people to Hell. People choose Hell for themselves due to their refusal to be obedient to God and His Word.
Please consider your lifestyle and activities very carefully. Your eternal soul is at stake. Hell is a real place, and eternity is a very long time. Today is the day of repentance. God stands ready to forgive you and set you free from the sin that has dominion over you. You can absolutely have Victory over the sin in your life if you will take it to the Cross of Christ, where Jesus defeated Satan. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
God stands ready to..........turn the tide..........in your life.
So grateful for God’s Mercy, Doreen
