Cry Out To God In Faith
July 27, 2025, 3:00 AM

Psalm 56:9 When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

David wrote the 56th Psalm during the time Saul was trying to kill him. His enemies were many and daily they tried to “swallow him up” as he writes in the first verse.

Many Christians today feel as David did during this time in his life. The enemy is great in number, fierce, and persistent. In these Last Days, he is fighting harder than ever to destroy the Kingdom of God and as many believers as he can.

Take a moment and read the entire 56th Psalm. I pray it will speak to your heart as you set out to face another day as a strong, Christian soldier of the Lord.

Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me.

My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High.

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

In God I will praise His Word, In God I have put my trust; I will not fear.

What can flesh do to me? All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.

They gather together, they hide, they mark my steps, when they lie in wait for my life.

Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!

You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?

When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.

In God (I will praise His Word), In the Lord (I will praise His Word), In God I have put my trust;

I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God;

I will render praises to You, For You have delivered my soul from death.

Have You not kept my feet from falling, That I may walk before God in the light of the living?

What a prayer! What a declaration of the Power of God to know us, love us, and protect us. Today, more than ever, we must know who we are in Christ. Believers must understand that God has our backs. The enemy is fierce, but God is greater! The enemy is many in number, but God’s Army is larger and far superior!

Take heart, my friends. Stand tall in your faith. Know who you are in Christ. With God, all things are possible.  If God be for us, who can be against us? I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me!

God IS for us. He has delivered our souls from death. He has rescued us time after time. He has healed us over and over again. He knows us by name, and He is for us! Give Him praise for who He is today. He is worthy of your praise!

God wants to  turn the tide in your life. Only He can do it.  You have to let Him. Ask and you shall receive.

Crying out to God,      Doreen
