The great Apostle Paul was at a loss to understand the power of the enemy over his conduct. To be victorious over an enemy one must first identify that enemy. Many Christians today have never been taught they even have an enemy. Others don’t believe once they are saved they can come under attack of the enemy. This is a false teaching because we all come under attack every day. That little voice telling you to do that which you know is not in line with God’s Word is the enemy attacking you.
Never deny the enemy because he is there. Peter describes him to us in 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. He seeks to devour YOU!
To conquer the enemy we must meet him where he is. Our enemy is a spirit and must be fought spiritually. The war that rages in America and around the world today is the same war that has been raging since Lucifer was banished from Heaven. The same spirits are fighting today.
Remember, they live forever and they are still at war against the Kingdom of God. You and I are a part of the Kingdom of God. They are fighting over us. When we understand this, we can fight in the spirit for ourselves, our loved ones, our country, and the world. However, please remember we are really fighting for the Kingdom of God.
All battles are spiritual. When you read the Bible, consider the spiritual battle in every story. As you do this you will begin to understand what is happening today in your own life and in the lives of people around the world.
One of the most powerful of Satan’s evil spirits is the spirit of deception. To be deceived is to believe a lie. This spirit has attacked thousands of people (including many Christians) in America today. For example, Christians who believe God created people to be homosexual or that it is okay to kill an unborn child, have been deceived by the enemy. They have bought into the lie and are willing to compromise their faith and soul, to support that lie.
Any position or belief that is not perfectly in line with the Word of God is a lie from Hell. We all know you can use the Bible to support many beliefs, but NOWHERE in the Bible will you find God says He created people to be homosexual or it’s acceptable to kill an innocent baby.
We are facing great problems in America today and the reason is that, as a nation, we have closed the Word of God and are no longer seeking God for guidance and answers. Most of our elected officials could care less what God’s Word says. They have no respect for God and are in fact, opposed to the teachings therein.
The spirit of deception is in full operation in these people. Satan has convinced them that God is not real or important. They have been deceived and have bought into that lie. The Righteous Spirit of Truth has been overshadowed and we, God’s people, must pray earnestly to rebuke the spirit of deception from our leaders and our land.
Jesus gave us the formula for spiritual success in Matthew 18:19 –20. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them.”
We must come together in unity, pray in agreement, and believe God hears our prayers and will answer our prayers according to His Promise we have just read. To fight in the flesh is to not trust God. God can do what we cannot do, but we MUST be obedient to do what we have been instructed to do in God’s Word.
Only God can……..turn the tide
