Psalm 35:22-26 This You have seen, O Lord: Keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from Me. Stir up Yourself, and awake to My judgment, even unto My cause, My God and My Lord. Judge Me, O Lord My God, according to Your Righteousness; and let them not rejoice over Me. Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed Him up. Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together who rejoice at My hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against Me.
As we approach the close of the 35th Psalm, we read the plea of the Spirit of Christ to Father God. This needs to be the plea of America today as the attack of the spirit of anti-christ, manifested in the Muslims and Satan worshippers, seek to destroy the Spirit of Christ in America.
God is able to step on them and squash them like a bug under His Feet, but He is waiting for His People to turn back to Him for help and give Him the Praise He so deserves.
Americans are fighting for our 2nd Amendment Rights to retain their guns and I absolutely believe we have the right to keep and bear arms in America, but all the guns in the world will not defeat the spirit of anti-christ.
In 1977, a television mini-series was aired entitled, ROOTS. This powerful dramatization told the story of a man’s search for his true identity; his roots. As we discussed yesterday, it is important that people know who they really are and the legacy prior generations have left for them.
We all have family trees and if we search back through the generations we find our roots planted somewhere. Nations have roots as well. Every country was founded by a family or a religion and that is where their roots are. For example, Great Britain’s roots are in its Royal Family while the country of Italy finds its roots in the Roman Empire. The roots of the Nation of Israel are in the Old Testament when God declared the Jews to be His Chosen People.
There can be no denying that America’s “roots” are well grounded in the Holy Scriptures. One cannot read the writings of any of our Founding Fathers and come to any other determination. The following statement was made by John Quincy Adams: "Is it not that in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the Birthday of the Savior? - that it forms a leading event in the progress of the Gospel dispensation? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer's mission upon earth? - That it laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity?"
The Nation of Islam and Satan worshippers are seeking to pull America up by our roots and destroy us. Why? Because our roots are deeply planted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is Christ and the Spirit of Christ they hate and seek to destroy.
Therefore, with our roots firmly planted in the Spirit of Christ we pray the words given to David in Psalm 35, This You have seen, O Lord: Keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from Me.
O Lord, please…………turn the tide
Please Lord, Doreen
