Luke 10:17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
Most Christians believe in Angels, but some refuse to believe in demons. Demons are angels; fallen angels. They are angels who chose to side with Lucifer when he was banished from Heaven by God. Demons are absolutely real, but can never possess the body of a true Christian, since the Holy Spirit is living inside. While not able to POSSESS a born-again Christian, they can, and do, attack and torment us all the time.
No one knows how many Angels and demons exist, but suffice it to say, there are millions of them, if not more. Every Angel (Righteous or demonic) was created by God in the beginning and is still alive and operating today in the heavenly realm.
Jesus told us that Satan comes only to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) Some of us can remember how life was in America before Satan was given the permission to take up residence here. When prayer and Christianity were banned in our schools, a door was opened for Satan to gain ground in America. When the Roe vs. Wade decision was passed by the Supreme Court and abortion on demand was made legal and acceptable, Satan gained more ground. From that time on, America has gone downhill spiritually, and the enemy has oppressed the Church.
In June of 2015, when the Supreme Court declared homosexual marriage to be lawful, Satan gained even more ground. These decisions were made in Washington, DC which would indicate a tremendous demonic force operating in that place. With Satan influencing our nation's leaders and judges, the spiritual condition of America has declined tremendously.
The demons have taken up residence in our nation's capital, and those who live and work there are subject to this demonic activity and force. Those who are not saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ are REALLY susceptible. There are hundreds of cases where a "good" person has been elected back home in their state, but within a short time in Washington, DC they find themselves to be influenced or possessed by a force they cannot fight, and they quickly submit to the evil atmosphere that thrives there.
America is currently in a transition period. Many different people are about to live and work in Washington, DC. As Christian Americans, it is our duty to pray for them. However, I believe we need to go a giant step further and rebuke and cast out every demonic spirit that occupies the White House, the Pentagon, and all the other buildings in Washington, DC.
The people headed to Washington have good intentions, but I would venture to say that many have no idea of the demonic influence they are walking into. Therefore, during this time of transition, join with me in praying that all the demons leave with those who are leaving and for the Holy Spirit of God to flood every square inch of that entire place.
The Word of God is everywhere in Washington, DC. The Bible tells us that the Word of God shall not return void. This is a Promise of God. Let us speak the Word of God and claim the Promise of God over our nation's capital. May the Spirit of God permeate the entire atmosphere, and may the Name of Jesus be lifted up once again in Washington, DC, and across our great land!
