Galatians 5:22-23 But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against which there is no law.
The Fruit of the Spirit is absolutely, without a doubt, the best, most profitable piece of Fruit we could ever consume. When we consider the content, anyone would be a fool to cast it aside. This Fruit contains nine spiritual nutrients that will reshape our lives. There is only ONE WAY to receive this Fruit, and Jesus declared Himself to be the only Way. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by Me. (John 14:6)
The Fruit of the Spirit grows abundantly in the Pasture of Plenty, where every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ can bask in it all. It is our spiritual Garden of Eden that God has created for all who choose to believe. As we have said so many times, entrance into this Pasture of Plenty is through one Gate, the Gate named Jesus. There is no other gate or way in.
Like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, all believers have the opportunity to live their lives filled with the Fruit of the Spirit if they choose to do so.
In the Fifth Chapter of his letter to the Galatians, the Apostle Paul first lists the sins which he refers to as “works of the flesh.” He wrote: Now the works of the flesh are manifest which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and such like.
Unfortunately, the works of the flesh are so prevalent in our society today that people (including many Christians) do not consider them sin at all and enter into such activity on a regular basis.
Jesus died for ALL sin, and none listed above is excluded. The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is the Divine Antidote for all sin and works of the flesh. This is what the Apostle Paul wrote about in Galatians, and over the next several days, we will discuss these various sins and God's Divine Antidotes.
I don’t like to emphasize sin and wrongdoing, but in today’s world, many believers are entering into sin on a regular basis, and they don’t even realize it’s sin. This is the work of the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy individual believers and the entire Kingdom of God. Therefore, it must be addressed.
In conclusion today, I will just say, there is such a thing as the sin nature, and due to the fall of Adam and Eve, every person is born with it. The only way to find Victory over the sin nature is to enter into the Pasture of Plenty through the Gate named Jesus, keep our faith totally in His Finished Work on the Cross, and seek every day to be totally led by the Holy Spirit.
This is the only Way God can………..turn the tide…..........in your life!
