Divine Companionship

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The Benefit of Companionship is one that brings tremendous comfort to the Believer IF they accept it. When we accept this Benefit we come to the place where we know in our hearts that no matter what happens, we are never alone; God is always there. He is our true and loyal Friend who will never leave us.

Human beings need other people in their lives. God created marriage, the family, and friendship to satisfy this need. However, for whatever reason, when human relationships end, we are left with that feeling of loneliness and emptiness. Something is missing because that person is no longer there. This is when the demonic spirit of grief begins to minister to us, and it can quickly invite its first cousin, the spirit of depression, to join him in his attack on our spirit.

People who lose someone to death or betrayal are the perfect target for this, and Satan wastes no time in his attack. He immediately infiltrates their mind with destructive questions and thoughts. Why did this happen to me? Why did God take them away? If God loves me, He wouldn’t allow me to be hurt like this. I must not be good enough, or God would not have done this to me. With every thought and question, the person falls deeper and deeper into darkness and depression, and the deeper they sink, the harder it is to come out.

In times of loss, God is testing our faith. Who do we REALLY trust? Who is our TRUE companion? Who will NEVER leave us? Who is there ALL the time?

There is only one answer to all these questions, and His Name is Jesus. He is ALWAYS there. He will NEVER leave us or forsake us. Through it all, Jesus is there for you. Death and betrayal are all part of life. Through these times, God wants us to come to trust in Him more and more.

Jesus gave His Life on the Cross that we may live an abundant life here on earth in the Pasture of Plenty. Grief, sadness, and depression are NOT abundant life and have no place in the Pasture. They are the opposite of Joy and Peace and are outside the fence in the world.

In this life, when we lose someone close, we have to make a choice. Do we choose to allow the enemy to draw us through the fence and rob us of our abundant life, taking us into the world of darkness and despair, or do we trust Jesus to fulfill His Promise of Peace, Joy, and Comfort through the Benefit of Companionship with Him?

The Benefit of Companionship is yours for the taking. It’s time to get up out of the bed of grief, climb back through the fence, and head straight for the Cross of Christ, where you will find Joy, Happiness, and Companionship that will NEVER end. You are Never Alone! Hallelujah!

Having Jesus as your Companion will..........turn the tide.........in your life.
