Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the Purpose of the Lord that will stand.
For well over a week now, we have been discussing the first part of God’s Divine Order for His Universe. This includes the FACTS that God is God and the entire universe was created by Him. God is made up of three Persons: God the Father, God the Son (the Word), and God the Holy Spirit. Together, THEY created everything that was created.
God also set in place a Perfect Plan and Order for His Universe. Nothing will ever change that. There is much talk today about global warming and environmental issues. While I absolutely believe we are to be good stewards of God’s Universe, I do not believe mankind can do anything that will change that which God has set in place.
No matter how hard man may try, no one will ever stop the sun from rising in the East every morning at the precise time God ordained. God is in control of His Universe. We cannot stop the trees from turning color in the Fall of the year. Try as we may, we are unable to cause rain to fall or make the wind stop blowing. We can burn down a forest, but God will cause it to grow again.
We can pump water out of the ocean, but it will never run dry. We can send men into space, but we will never destroy the atmospheric conditions of the Universe. It belongs to God! He created it, and He controls it!
All natural laws were set in place by God and cannot be changed by man either. There are many of these natural laws, but a common one everyone understands is the law of gravity. No matter how hard you try, you will never defy the natural law of gravity or any other natural law. The scientific world calls these Laws of Nature, but they are actually all part of God’s Divine Order for His Universe, and no scientist will ever be able to change them.
Spiritual Truths are constant as well, and although the world has tried, these Spiritual Truths shall not be denied. Many Spiritual Truths are also Natural Laws; they are true in the natural and the spiritual. An example would be the Law of Sowing and Reaping. In both the natural and the spiritual, you will reap what you sow. Another example would be the Law that Light overtakes darkness. This is always true both in the natural as well as in the spiritual.
In the year 1,000 B.C. King Solomon wrote the Book of Proverbs. He is known as the wisest man to ever live. The Book of Proverbs is a collection of instructions for Righteous living. They were penned by Solomon but inspired by God. The Proverbs contain much of God’s Divine Order for His Universe. We would all be well advised to read them on a daily basis.
In regard to the subject at hand, Solomon wrote: Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the Purpose of the Lord that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21)
