2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, Who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

 

Through our study of the Benefits of the born again believer, hopefully, you are beginning to catch a glimpse of all that the Lord has for us. The list is truly unmeasurable! The depth of each Benefit is phenomenal and without end because, For with God nothing will be impossible. (Luke 1:37) and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, (Ephesians 3:20).

 

With that said and as we continue to make a “list” of our Benefits, please understand that there are no limits to any of them. Each Benefit is without end because God never runs out of anything. No matter what the world says or does, God never runs short of FORGIVENESS, HEALING, DELIVERANCE, LOVING KINDNESS, MERCY, PROVISION, AUTHORITY, POWER, RIGHTEOUSNESS, JUDGMENT, INSTRUCTION, TEACHING or GUIDANCE, and this my friends, is just the tip of the iceberg!

 

Today we will add the Benefit of PROTECTION. We have all been in situations where we should have been killed, but “somehow” we were spared. This is the Hand of God at work to protect us and save us from death. Although we may not have been born again when this happened, these times all become a part of our testimony. As we grow in the Lord and in our faith, we can look back and see where the Hand of God was upon us whether we knew Him as Savior and Lord, or not. This is the demonstration of the unconditional Love of our Heavenly Father even the midst of our rebellion. God loves us in spite of ourselves and our realization of this fact opens the door for our Father to draw us close to Him. Jesus said, No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me draws him; (John 6:44)

 

God knows the Plans He has for each of us. (Jeremiah 29:11) He wants to see His Plan for our lives fulfilled. He wants the very best for all of us. Therefore, He will sustain us through times of personal destruction and deliver us from the hand of the enemy who is trying to kill us. Remember what Jesus said? The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

 

There is a spiritual war raging in the heavenlies. We (all of us) are the “ground” being fought over. Satan and his fallen angels and evil spirits are trying to kill us. God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Righteous Angels are fighting on our behalf to save us. It’s up to us to choose which side we will fight with. This is where freewill comes in. God has placed in the heart of every human being the ability to make personal choices.

 

As we look at the world situation today, this spiritual battle is clearly apparent. It doesn’t take a spiritual giant or earthly genius to see that we are in the midst of a battle between Good and evil. It’s time to choose a side. In fact, it’s PAST time to choose a side. God has protected us when we have made foolish decisions. He has performed Miracles in our lives and saved us from sure destruction. He has proven Himself faithful when we have failed miserably. God loves us all unconditionally and wants us on His side.

 

It doesn’t matter what we have done in the past. He stands ready to Forgive us when we come to Him and repent. He has brought us through thick and thin so we can be on His side now. The Benefit of PROTECTION has been operating in our lives when we didn’t deserve it. What do you say? Will you turn your back on the world, turn your face toward God in Repentance and join His team?

 

Turn from the world and God will……….turn the tide……..in your life. It’s your choice.
