Habakkuk 2:15-17 What sorrow awaits you who make your neighbors drunk. You force your cup on them so you can gloat over their shameful nakedness. But soon it will be your turn to be disgraced. Come, drink and be exposed! Drink from the cup of the Lord's judgment, and all your glory will be turned to shame. You cut down the forests of Lebanon. Now you will be cut down. You destroyed the wild animals, so now their terror will be yours. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence.

 

This Passage of Scripture is powerful. What the Lord is saying is that anyone who causes another to stumble will one day stumble themselves. This is a Spiritual Law set in place by God and will not fail.

 

My husband, Jack, used to say it like this, "What goes around comes around." God said it in many times. One powerful time was through the Prophet Habakkuk: You force your cup on them so you can gloat over their shameful nakedness. But soon it will be your turn to be disgraced. Come, drink, and be exposed! Drink from the cup of the Lord's judgment, and all your glory will be turned to shame. You cut down the forests of Lebanon. Now you will be cut down.

 

The forests of Lebanon refer to the Temple of God in Jerusalem and/or the Kingdom of God, including the Church today. Any person or group of people who damage or destroy any part of the Kingdom of God will eventually come to ruin. They, too will be destroyed by the Hand of God.

 

They may seem powerful at the time, and they may win some battles, but in the end, the war will be won by the Lord God Almighty! He will prevail, and they will be cut down and destroyed by the Lord Himself. 

 

The cup of Satan is sin, and when it is imposed on another, it causes them to stumble and be exposed. Their turn to drink will come, and the cup of the Lord's judgment is far stronger! It will turn all their glory to shame, and they will come crashing down like a mighty tree in the forest.

 

This is a spiritual law upon which we can stand firm. Satan is a powerful force, but the Lord God Almighty is far more powerful, and He absolutely will prevail over evil. On this, you can place your faith and trust.

 

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the Earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

 

Do not be afraid. God absolutely will….......turn the tide
