Luke 9:1-2 Then He called His twelve Disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 

 

During the three and one-half years of Jesus’ Ministry on earth, He travelled around taking authority over every demon and curing all sickness and disease. All who travelled with Him were amazed by the many miracles they witnessed.  

 

This was their on-the-job training program, but soon they would be sent out to take authority over demonic spirits and heal the sick themselves. As they travelled with Jesus, they watched and learned from the Master. 

 

He performed so many miracles that the Bible tells us there are not enough books in the world to record them all. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. (John 21:25)

 

There is no demon of Hell, disease or illness that is greater than the Power of Jesus Christ. Jesus told us this when He said, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) 

 

Abundant life is NOT a life of sickness, pain, poverty and want. All disease, addiction, failure and distress are the attack of the enemy who seeks only to steal, kill and destroy every person he can. However, believers have been given the Power to take authority over all this! Jesus was beaten beyond recognition and died on the Cross so all who believe in Him can live in abundance.  

 

This is the spiritual battle we face every day, but once we learn to walk in Divine Confidence and the Power in the Name of Jesus to overcome the enemy, THEN, and only then, can we experience the abundant life Jesus died for us to have. 

 

To live in a state of self-pity, grief, addiction, sin, disease, poverty and want is to proclaim that what Jesus did on the Cross was not enough to Save, Heal, and set you free. Well, you are WRONG; dead wrong! Jesus paid the price for it all! The Precious Blood of Jesus covered it ALL!  

 

Freedom from sin, Healing of disease and Deliverance from demonic influence are all included in what Jesus called “Abundant Life.” It is available to ANYONE who chooses to believe. You have the choice. God calls this free will. Every person has the free will to choose to believe or not to believe. 

 

Believe in what? Believe in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross. Therein lies the answer to all life’s problems. Jesus took authority over every demon of Satan when He ministered on earth, and He gave His Life on the Cross that we may take authority over them now. That’s WHY He was beaten and crucified. 

 

The ball is now in your court. The question is: Do you believe or not? If your answer is “yes”, then start living like it! Claim the Abundant Life Jesus died for you to have and live in Victory over the enemy!
