Doctrine Of Christ

2 John 1:7-11 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this Doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

There is much talk in the Christian community around the world about reaching out to the Muslim people. Many believe we should welcome them into our country, states, cities, and homes. Some Pastors have even invited Muslims to speak to their congregation from behind their pulpit.

Let’s look at what the Word of God has to say about this. As always, we will find the answers we are looking for if we read God’s Word. The Apostle John wrote about this very subject in a clear manner. We find it in his Second Epistle in Verses 7 thru 11.

Verse 7.  For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.  Anyone who does not confess the Full Gospel of Jesus Christ is a deceiver and an antichrist. John is NOT saying these people are “the Antichrist” that will reign during the Great Tribulation. However, he is saying that they are operating under the ministry of the evil spirit of antichrist and seek to deceive God's people.

Verse 8. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. This is the same warning the great Apostle Paul gives in 2 Corinthians 13:5 when he tells us to “examine ourselves.” Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the Faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

The only hope of Salvation is to have Jesus Christ living in us. Anything else will result in disqualification. The King James version says it like this:   Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?  A reprobate is one who is rejected by God.

Verse 9-10. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the Doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the Doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.  We must continually “abide in the Doctrine of Christ.” This means to stay there; live there; remain there; never leave.

Verse 11.  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this Doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. This is the Passage that tells us directly not to receive people who do not bring the Doctrine of Christ.

It’s pretty clear, my friends. Watch the world news. Pay attention to what is happening in Europe. America was founded on Christian Principles. We must stand and continue to stand on what our Founding Fathers believed in and framed our nation on. In short, it was the Doctrine of Christ.

The Doctrine of Christ will……..turn the tide
