Habakkuk 3:17-18 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice to the Lord, I will joy in the God of my Salvation.
Habakkuk received a Vision from the Lord that caused him to tremble inside. He was so scared, every bone in his body ached, and he hoped he would not live to see it come to pass. Perhaps this is why we don't hear sermons about Habakkuk very often. Most Preachers don't want the members of their congregation to be so scared that they would rather die than live through what is coming.
The Vision to Habakkuk was so clear and detailed, it was as if he was actually living it out. It was like a nightmare that is so real you wake up scared beyond words. Habakkuk saw it like a picture show in his mind's eye, and he knew it was a warning from God that what happened 800 years prior would indeed happen again. It did happen again, more than once, and it's not over.
God's people have always come under attack by Satan and his evil demons. This spiritual war began the moment God banished Lucifer from Heaven, and it has not stopped since. As in all wars, battles rage in different places, and they continue until finally one side totally annihilates the other.
During the Second World War, the battle raged in Europe, the South Pacific, and Japan. Brave men and women entered the battle and fought for their side. Thousands were injured, and a great number died in the fight. Back home, the people suffered because all the money was devoted to the war effort. There were shortages of products that previously had been plentiful and commonplace. Then, one day, unbeknownst to anyone, the Allied forces dropped an atomic bomb on Japan and brought the enemy to its knees in surrender. The war was over. Victory was won for the Allied forces!
World War II was a war of good and evil. It was a spiritual war played out in the natural. That's what war is. God's people came under attack, and many millions were killed. However, in the end, Good won out over evil! We are living in such a time once again, only this time we are fighting on our homeland, and God's people are trembling inside just like Habakkuk trembled at the Vision the Lord caused him to see.
During World War II, there was no question about which side America would be on because America stood for God and His Word. America has always stood on the side of Good. Today, the enemy has infiltrated the minds of so many Americans that they don't know good from evil. What we see happening in our country today is the result of the demonic spirits of deception and confusion manifested in the lives of millions of people who once understood and believed in the Biblical definition of good and evil. Today, people don't care or even consider what God's Word says about anything.
When you don't know the definition of Good, evil will prevail, and that is what we see happening in America today. The Prophet Isaiah warned us of this when he said, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
The battle is on. The war is raging. Times will get tough; very tough. The Vision given to Habakkuk is about to play out once again. Just imagine how the Jews (God's People) in the German concentration camps felt during World War II as they waited their turn to die. Prisoners of war in the South Pacific were starved to death by the enemy. I'm sure they were all extremely frightened and trembled inside until their bones ached in fear. This is the Vision given to Habakkuk that caused him to pray that he would die before it came to pass.
Many Christians are praying that very same prayer today. Millions are praying for the Lord to return and Rapture the Church before it gets any worse. Jesus said, But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the Angels of Heaven, but my Father only.
In the midst of trembling fear, Habakkuk found reason to rejoice, and so must we. God and His Goodness will prevail! He always does. Are we living in the last battle? We do not know the answer to that question. No one knows. Not even the Angels of Heaven. Only God the Father knows, but like Habakkuk, we do know God is on our side. We do know what His Word says, and we know every Word is the Truth. When everything seemed lost and he was scared to death, Habakkuk said, Yet I will rejoice to the Lord, I will joy in the God of my Salvation.
We too must rejoice in the Lord of our Salvation! Never lose heart or give up. The Word of the Lord is our strength and our fortress. Read the end of The Book. Then you will know how it will all play out. Until then, read and study all the pages in between and be SURE of what is Good and what is evil. Test the spirits of everything and everyone. Cast all evil out of your life and from your midst. This could be the day the Lord God puts an end to this war. I pray you are ready.
God is about to...........turn the tide
Rejoicing in the Lord of my Salvation, Doreen
