Yesterday, we discussed God’s description of the enemies the Kingdom of God has faced over and over again throughout history. Beginning with the Babylonians, to the Medes, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Barbarians, Turks, Arabs, Spanish, Germans, and today, the Nation of Islam. God’s people will continually come under attack, the greatest of which will be the Antichrist.
The Lord describes in detail the people who would attack His Kingdom. As we look at each Verse individually, I believe you will easily see the correlation between the Nation of Islam and Habakkuk’s Prophesy and description of this fierce enemy.
Habakkuk 1:6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs. God told Habakkuk He would raise up these people, and they would plow through their land and take over everything, even their homes.
Habakkuk 1:7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves. Here, God begins to describe just how horrible these people are. Every group that has attacked the Kingdom of God fits this description. Today, it is a proper description of the Nation of Islam.
Habakkuk 1:8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hastes to eat. The Lord uses animals to describe their swiftness and fierceness. These people will come from far away and are relentless.
Habakkuk 1:9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand. Violence is their mode of operation as they seek to take captive and destroy every believer in God Almighty.
Habakkuk 1:10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. They have no regard for the Godly leaders of nations as they tear down everything in their path in their attempt to possess the entire world.
Habakkuk 1:11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god. It’s all about power. With every enemy of God’s people, it’s always been about power. Nothing has changed today. The Nation of Islam seeks to gain power over the entire world. Power is their goal and power is their god.
We should not be surprised at what we are living through. In recent history, we have fought the Nazis and the Communists. Now, we fight an even more fierce enemy, the Nation of Islam, as we watch the Prophesies of Old unfold right before our eyes every day.
Do not be afraid. We are alive for such a time as this! The Lord God is our protection and our strength. Place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Message of the Cross. He died that we may live! Give Him praise in your house today. Read and study the Word of God and know that what we are enduring is all part of His Divine Plan.
Never doubt that God can…..…..turn the tide
