John 18:6 As soon as He had said unto them, I am He, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

This Scripture paints a powerful picture that is a fulfillment of a Prophecy made by David and recorded in Psalm 27:2. David spoke these Prophetic Words over 1,000 years earlier. When the wicked, even My enemies and My foes, came upon Me to eat up My flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Every Prophecy of God WILL be fulfilled. As we know, it may take thousands of years, but it absolutely will come to pass. We are living in such times today. We are watching as the Prophecies of God are being fulfilled right before our eyes. It’s an extremely exciting time to be alive, and we are here for such a time as this. God has chosen us to witness the events of this time period. He has also chosen us to be not only spectators, but participants in the fulfillment.

Just imagine how the people felt who were among those who were there that day. The Prophecy (as written by David) says, When the wicked, even My enemies and My foes, came upon Me to eat up My flesh, they stumbled and fell. Although these words were spoken by David they are actually a Prophecy about Christ.

When the Prophecy came to pass 1,000 years later, John described it like this. When Jesus had spoken these Words, He went forth with His Disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into which He entered, and His Disciples. And Judas also, which betrayed Him, knew the place: for Jesus often times resorted there with His Disciples. Judas then having received a band of men and officers from the Chief Priests and Pharisees, coming there with lanterns and torches and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon Him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered Him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said unto them, I am He.  And Judas also, which betrayed Him stood with them. As soon then as He had said unto them, I am He, they went backward, and fell to the ground. (John 18:1-6)

The men that came with Judas that day were all “religious” men, and they had EACH been chosen to be a part of the fulfillment of that particular Prophecy made by David a century before.  Immediately upon Jesus speaking the words, I am He, they stumbled back and fell to the ground. It happened exactly as David prophesied 1,000 years prior.

We never know how God is going to use us, what He is going to show us or do through us. We do know every Prophecy will come to pass, and we do know things are unfolding right before our eyes. Stay engaged. Pray continuously. Listen for the Word of the Lord. Be ready. YOU are alive at this time for a specific purpose. God has a plan for YOU! Prophecies are coming to pass every day.  What a time to be alive!

God will soon……..turn the tide
