Face To Face With God

James 4:7 Submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

For the past few days, we have been drawing the comparison between Christians and a cow that spends her life with her head through the fence in search of greener grass.

My friends, there is no greener grass than what the Lord God has provided in His Pasture of Plenty. Every Blessing and Benefit of God is there. Within the fences of His Pasture, we can live the Abundant Life Jesus died for us to enjoy here on earth. Outside the fence is nothing but trouble, heartache, suffering, and pain.

With that said, the lesson is......If you can’t resist what’s out there, stay away from the fence!

When we have our heads through the fence, we have turned our backs on God. We cannot see or hear God in this position. Many folks spend their life with their head through the fence, wondering where God is. They can’t see Him at work. They can’t hear His Voice. They never seem to make progress. Every aspect of their life is falling apart, and they can’t figure out why.

The answer is simple. At one point, they accepted Christ and entered the Pasture of Plenty through the Gate named Jesus. They spent a short time in the tall, green grass and then headed straight for the fence. Ever since, they have lived their life eating weeds, drinking filthy water, and participating in everything that the devil dangles in front of them on the other side of the fence.

The Word of God says, Submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. We must be determined to turn our backs on the fences and submit our lives fully to God. Be content in the Pasture of Plenty. Let the Word of God be your nourishment. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your every step. Submit yourself fully to Him and His Plan for your life. It is a good Plan. It consists of Abundant Life and more Benefits than you can begin to count.

Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness is inside the fence, not out in Satan’s world. When you turn your back on the fence, you will be face-to-face with God. That’s a good place to be!

Remaining face-to-face with God will........turn the tide  ........in your life.

Face-to-face,      Doreen
