Faith In Christ Alone

Galatians 2:16 …..knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be Justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

No amount of work can bring Salvation to someone. This has been an issue with Christianity since the days of the early Church. Since Judaism is based on works, (and all other religions for that matter) it’s very difficult for a person to fully understand that all God requires of us to be Justified is to have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, and what He accomplished on the Cross of Calvary.

This subject is addressed by the Apostle Paul in all of his Epistles. The people just couldn’t believe that all they had to do was place their faith in Christ. Unfortunately, this continues to be the case today.

The Apostle Paul was an extremely intelligent and educated man. He is said to be the most educated person on earth at the time of his life. However, in his letter to the Corinthians he wrote And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

Our faith is not in our works or in the words of men. Neither of these can afford us Salvation, Justification, or Sanctification. Jesus Christ paid the price for us to have all of this and in Him, we must place our faith exclusively.

God loves us and wants us to be Saved, Justified, and Sanctified so much that He Sacrificed His Only Son on our behalf. Sin is the issue. Sin separates us from God. The shed Blood of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary paid the price for the sin of all of humanity and the only thing God requires is for us to believe that and place our faith in all that Jesus accomplished on Crucifixion Day.

His Sacrifice on the Cross changed everything for everyone for evermore and all we have to do is believe it. Seems too simple but it’s true. Faith in Christ and Him Crucified is all God requires for us to have Salvation, Justification, Sanctification, and eventual Glorification.

That’s it! That’s all! Nothing more, nothing less. Just faith in Christ and Him Crucified. Hallelujah!

Faith in Christ Crucified will………..turn the tide……….in this world!

Thank you, Jesus!         Doreen
