2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
This Passage of Scripture is one our Founding Fathers stood on as they wrote the Documents that formed our nation. They sought the Holy Scriptures for every principle, knowing that if our ways were the Ways of God, we the people, would form a more perfect government.
The Puritans who settled America believed that there was right and wrong; good and evil. They believed there was such a thing as absolute truth and it was all found in the Holy Scriptures; the Bible. Upon their arrival in America, they wrote a document called the Mayflower Compact. In this document they stated: Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and advancement of the Christian Faith…
As the settlements in America grew in the mid 1600’s, the people of New England wrote what they called the Constitution of the New England Confederation. This document states: “Whereas we all came to these parts of America with the same end and aim, namely to advance the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ and to enjoy the liberties of the Gospel thereof with purities and peace, and for preserving and propagating the truth and liberties of the Gospel…”
To properly determine how to govern the people, they searched the pages of Holy Scripture for guidance. The leaders had prepared the hearts of the people with the Truth of the Word of God. It was after this that the Great Awakening broke out across America as the Holy Spirit of God made Himself known to Americans in a powerful way.
Oh how we need another Great Awakening in America! It will happen only when our government leaders seek God with all their hearts and once again search the Holy Scriptures for guidance as our Founding Fathers did.
We have prayed for Godly leadership in America. We, the Remnant, have prayed for God to raise up a Godly man to lead this nation as our President; one who will freely speak the Name of Jesus and believes the Bible is the True Word of God; one who believes in the power of Prayer and will lead our country into all Truth.
President Trump has established a Faith Office at the White House in Washington! This is an answer to our prayer but let us continue to pray for the people in this office that they hear from God and work to bring America back to our roots; the Holy Scriptures. We must if we are to retain Freedom and Liberty in America.
