Acts 3:9-10 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
The man who had been healed from a life of being lame and helpless walked into the Temple with Peter and John. He was so excited, the Scripture says he was leaping and praising God. He wanted everyone to know what God had done for him. wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. They had probably passed by him on their way into the Temple for years. Perhaps, out of pity, they would occasionally toss a coin or a scrap of bread his way.
This is a perfect picture of the Church today. Spiritually broken people come to the Church for help week after week, and the people just walk past them. Occasionally, someone might offer them something, but like the lame man at the Temple Gate, what they need is far greater than a little money or a bag of groceries. They need to know the Power in Name of Jesus to bring real change to their life and lift them up out of the pit.
However, it is up to them to receive the Power of God into their own life, accept their healing, and jump for joy, giving God all the praise and glory. Then, others will know the Power of God to change them. Everyone is in need of help in some way, and the Power in the Name of Jesus will provide that help. Whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, or domestic, there is no crippling problem too big for the Power in the Name of Jesus to overcome.
Has God done anything for you? Are you jumping for joy over it? Are you so excited you can’t be quiet? Are others amazed at the change in you? The answer to all these questions should be “YES”.
The Power in the Name of Jesus will........ turn the tide........in your life.
