1 Corinthians 15:52-53 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last Trumpet. For the Trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
On this day we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ after spending three days in the grave. Jesus was a perfect man. He never sinned, not even once. Therefore, sickness, disease, decay, rot, death, and Hell could never be His portion. The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
Sin is what causes the aging process in all people. Jesus grew in stature to maturity (30 years old) but never aged any further. Because He was totally free of sin, Jesus’ lifeless Body could not decay and rot like all other dead bodies. Where there is no corruption, there is not stink and all the spices Joseph of Arimathea put on Him were unnecessary.
As Prophesied, God raised Jesus from the dead on the Third Day. His Body was eternal and could never see corruption. The Scriptures say, Because you will not leave my soul in Hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. (Acts 2:27) Jesus’ physical body was Eternal and forever incorruptible. It was in fact, Glorified!
We know this by the accounts of Him walking through walls and appearing to more than 500 people. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the Disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His Hands and His Side. Then the Disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. (John 20:19)
Due to the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, we all have corruptible bodies. We age and suffer from disease and sickness. We will all one day die and our physical bodies will decay and rot. BUT, the Word of God promises that we too shall one day have Glorified bodies! Hallelujah!
When Jesus returns for His Bride; the Church, every born again believer will be Resurrected from the grave wherever that may be and taken up to meet Him in the air! What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His Face, the One Who saved me by His Grace. When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the Promise Land. What a day, wonderful day that will be!
It could be today! No one knows the day or the hour so we must be ready to go when He breaks the Eastern Sky and we hear the Last Trumpet! in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last Trumpet. For the Trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:52-53)
In the twinkling of an eye, He will……….turn the tide……….in this world.
