God Has A Plan For You

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.

This Passage of Scripture is often quoted and used on inspirational cards and plaques, but I wonder how many people REALLY believe this Word is for them, personally.

While it’s true the Prophecies speak to the Jewish people, they also pertain to anyone reading them, at any time. The Bible is a “living document.” No matter who you are or what your circumstances, the Word of God will speak into your life. God is so amazing!

Over the past several days, we have been discussing the “open concept” spiritual living area in our spiritual being. We spent a few days tearing down sin closets and regaining precious living area where the Light of the Lord pours in through open windows, creating a space where the Fruit of the Spirit is in abundance. This is God’s Plan for our spiritual house.

The enemy, Satan, would rather our entire spiritual being be nothing but a maze of sin closets where we live a life of bondage and captivity, trapped in the darkness of sin. Jesus said it like this, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

600 years prior, the Prophet Jeremiah spoke these Words, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. The Message is the same. God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His Word lives on and is pertinent to anyone who seeks Him and is willing to read it.

Satan and his demons are real. We may not be able to see them, but they are other,e and they seek to destroy us. That’s all they care about. They spend all their time doing this because they hate God, and they think they can win. The only way for them to win is to destroy God’s people; the Kingdom of God; the Body of Christ; the Church; you and me.

However, God is greater! Jesus came to defeat the works of the devil, and He did! The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8) We have the Power to defeat the work of the enemy in our lives and live the abundant life Jesus promised.

God’s Word does not contradict itself. The Words of the Prophets are the same as the Words of Jesus and the Words of the Apostles. The Word of God is True, and on His Word there is abundant life!

Only God can……..turn the tide
