God Means What He Says

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God.

Yesterday we entered into a discussion about how Satan lies to people and convinces them that God does not really mean what His Word says. In the 3rd Chapter of Genesis, Satan convinced Eve that she and Adam would not die if they ate the forbidden fruit. Even though God implicitly told them they would die, Satan convinced them otherwise. Consequently, they ate the fruit and they died spiritually.

God’s Word is Truth. He means every Word. The enemy has convinced some people that the Bible is not the inherent Word of God but just a collection of stories and letters written by man. This too is a lie. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness, that the man of God man be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Don’t be foolish like Eve was. What you read in the Bible today is the same as the Word of God spoken to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The Bible is God’s Word in written form and He means exactly what He says.

God told Adam and Eve that if they ate of the forbidden fruit they would die. He meant it. God’s Word tells us Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Also, we read in Galatians Now the words of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

My friends, God means what His Word states. If you are practicing any of these sins, REPENT! Ask God to forgive you and turn from these things. When God says those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. He means it!

God stands ready to forgive you. He sent His Son to die on the Cross of Calvary so you can be forgiven. One of the greatest Promises in the Word of God is found in 1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Go to the Lord in repentance. He will forgive you and set you free. That’s WHY Jesus went to the Cross.

Repent! God wants to……..….turn the tide...........in your life today!

He set me free!        Doreen
