Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please Him.
The spiritual battle that we face every day takes place in our minds. Our thought life predicts the words we speak and our actions. Over the past month, we have discussed many Passages of Scripture about our minds. The bottom line is that the enemy attacks us by planting evil thoughts in our minds but, through faith in Christ Crucified, we have the ability to cast those thoughts out and dwell on that which is good and pleasing to God.
As Christians, it is our goal to please God. We want to live our lives pleasing to Him but we can’t do this without faith in Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross. A life pleasing to God is one free from sin and faith in Christ is the ONLY way to be set free from the burden of sin in our lives.
Every sin is the result of an impure thought. Satan will continually attack our minds with evil thoughts, but we are in control of what we do with those thoughts. If we choose to welcome those thoughts we will act on them. However, we can choose to cast them out and dwell on that which is good and pleasing to God.
Sin has always been the problem for mankind since the fall of Adam and Eve. God’s Remedy for sin has always been blood sacrifice. In Old Testament times, the people brought animals to be sacrificed on the Altar to cover their sins.
Jesus' Sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary was the final blood Sacrifice needed for the sins of mankind. His perfect Blood which was Sacrificed took away the sins from those who choose to believe in Him. His Work on the Cross also defeated all power of the enemy in our lives as long as we maintain faith in Him and His Finished Work.
Faith in Jesus’ Work on the Cross releases the Power of the Holy Spirit to work in our lives and it is He who transforms our minds as He dwells within us and operates as our Teacher, Guide, and overall Helper.
It all comes back to faith in Christ Crucified. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)
Faith in Christ Crucified will……….turn the tide……..in your life.
