God's Judgment

Romans 14:11 For we shall all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ.

Yesterday, our discussion brought us to these Words of Jesus: And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of Righteousness, and of Judgment: (John 16:8) This speaks of the Work of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives. Although we think of Him as our Teacher, Guide, Counselor, Comforter, and overall, Helper, He is also the One who convicts us of our sin and reminds us of God’s Judgment.

People don’t like to think about the Judgment of God because so many ministers today are speaking only of God’s Love, Mercy, Kindness, Goodness, and Blessings. All of this is absolutely true. God is all of these things, but He is also the God of Judgment and we will all stand before Him one day and give account for our lives. For we shall all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:10-12)

There are two places of Judgment: The Great White Throne Judgment and the Judgment Seat of Christ. They are NOT THE SAME THING! This is highly misunderstood by the Church today because most preachers don’t want to even touch on the subject of Judgment. I, on the other hand, believe it is of extreme importance that we all know the truth on this subject and we find it in the Word of God.

The Great White Throne Judgment is for the unbelievers; those who have not accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord. We read about this in the 20th Chapter of Revelation. Then I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat on it, from whose Face the earth and the Heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:11-15) Anyone whose name is NOT written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will stand before the Judge at the Great White Throne Judgment and will be cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.

The Judgment Seat of Christ is for all born-again believers in Christ Jesus. It is NOT a place of Judgment of sins because the born-again believer’s sins have all been forgiven by their faith in the shed blood of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Therefore, there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

Every truly Redeemed, born-again believer in Christ will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Speaking to believers, Paul said For we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the Body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10) The Judgment Seat of Christ is actually the place where we will be issued our rewards for what we have done for the Kingdom of God.

I pray that you have clarity and understanding about these two very important Judgment Seats. I also pray you are truly Redeemed by your faith in the shed Blood of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. There is no other way to be Redeemed. Jesus is the ONLY Way. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6)

Understanding the Word of God will……….turn the tide……...in your life.

Thank you Jesus,         Doreen
