God's Word

Matthew 4:4 It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the Mouth of God.

The Word of God is the single most important thing on earth and should be a daily part of every believer’s life. Without the Word of God, we will struggle and fall under the attack of the enemy.

Many years ago the Holy Spirit encouraged me to get up a little earlier each day and read the Bible. Fortunately, I obeyed His Voice. That night I set my alarm for 15 minutes earlier than it had been set. The next morning, when the alarm went off, I got up and went to my sewing room and read the Bible for 15 minutes. Within a week, I added 15 more minutes to it. Then, 15 minutes more and 15 minutes more. This soon became my favorite time of the day and it still is to this day.

Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh. (John 1:14) When we read the Bible it’s as if we are talking with Jesus face to face. Reading the Word of God will change your life. It will totally transform you if you want to live your life pleasing to God.

No one is sure who wrote Psalm 119, but it is a wonderful Passage of Scripture. In that Psalm, the author wrote Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105) If you are not sure of your purpose in life or how to proceed in a situation, open your Bible and start reading. I guarantee you that you will find your answer there.

When Jesus was in the wilderness, being tempted by the enemy, His response was always a quote from the Word of God. He had fasted for 40 days and the enemy tempted Him by challenging him to turn some stones into bread. Jesus could have done that but instead, He responded It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the Mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

His Word is a Guiding Light for all of us. Whatever the situation or dilemma, the answer is in the Bible. Give the Word of God a try. Start your day by reading the Bible. You will be amazed at the transformation in a short period of time. God is faithful. He keeps His Promises. Again, give the Word of God a try.

The Word of God will……….turn the tide……..in your life.

I love His Word!         Doreen
