Good Friday
April 18, 2025, 3:00 AM

John 19:30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished,” and He bowed His Head and gave up His Spirit.

Today is what is known by Christians as “Good Friday.” It is the day we celebrate the Crucifixion of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. It was for this Day, Jesus was born and lived in a fleshly body for thirty three and one half years. To die was His Purpose to live.

What Jesus endured that day is unfathomable. He was beaten beyond recognition, mocked, and tortured. Primitive nails were driven through His Hands and Feet to fix Him to the Cross, where His natural Life and Ministry on earth would come to an end. The pain He suffered that day was unimaginable.

He had done nothing wrong, and yet, they treated Him like a common criminal.

He had never sinned, and yet, they crucified Him.

He healed everyone who came to Him, and yet, they did not believe.

He cast out demons from people who had suffered for years, and yet, they hated Him.

He proved Himself to be the long-awaited Messiah, and yet, they called Him a blasphemer.

The people loved Him, and yet, the hierarchy of the church hated Him.

He was treated like dirt, and yet, He gave His Life.

They spat upon Him, and yet, He said, "Father forgive them."

He rose from the grave, and yet, they still refused to believe.

He lives today, and yet, they are still trying to kill His Spirit.

Many have tried to destroy Him, but it cannot be done! Christ sits at the Right Hand Throne of God today!  The Spirit of Christ lives on in the hearts of those who love Him and place their faith in Him and what He did on the Cross of Calvary.

Today, we celebrate His Sacrifice. He willingly gave His Perfect Life for the sins of the world; your sin, my sin; everyone’s sin, and yet, they still hate Him.

There will always be those who hate Him, and yet, we LOVE HIM and give Him praise, glory, and honor for the Sacrifice He made on our behalf. We are all sinners, and yet, Christ died for us, on this day almost two thousand years ago!

They hate Him and yet, Spirit of Christ will……..turn the tide

So unworthy and yet, He loves me,      Doreen
