Luke 12:39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
When a thief breaks into a house, he looks for the valuables to steal. He looks past the junk and goes for the riches, that which he can sell for a big sum. When he finds the jewelry box, he does not take the costume jewelry; he searches for the diamond rings and other precious gemstones and solid gold. He does not take with him cheap hand tools from the tool closet, but gathers up the expensive power tools and nail guns. When he leaves, all the valuable belongings are gone. Left behind is all the junk.
Satan is a thief. He comes but to kill, steal and destroy. He is not interested in stealing from us that which is not valuable. He wants to rob us of the most valuable assets we have been given by God. He wants our Anointing.
When the enemy can strip us of our gifting, he shuts down our ministry, which is what the Lord uses to break the yoke off people and build His Kingdom.
It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. (Isaiah 10:27) Whatever the Lord has gifted you with comes with the Anointing to break the yoke off people and set them free. This is the purpose of God’s Gifts.
Unfortunately, most people use their God given Gifts for personal gain. The enemy doesn’t have to attack them; they have been robbed before they even got started. Others know their Gifts are from God and are to be used to further the Kingdom of God, but CHOOSE not to use them in that manner. This choice on their part is the result of the enemy attacking their mind and telling them to build their own kingdom rather than God’s Kingdom.
However, the worst robbery takes place in the life of the person who knows, understands and has made the choice to serve the Lord with all their heart, mind and soul, using their Gifts to see people saved, healed and delivered. Then something happens. The enemy sneaks in like the thief in the night and attacks them, leads them astray, and steals their Anointing. He cannot actually take their Anointing from them, but he can make the sin so attractive and tempting that they succumb to the temptation. When this happens, the people they have been ministering to no longer trust them to be the devoted man or woman of God they once thought them to be, and their ministry is shut down.
The Anointing is still there, but it is now inactive, buried under piles of sin and corruption. They have been robbed of the most valuable asset they ever had. Burdened with guilt and shame, they walk the road of destruction, and unfortunately, many never return to find the narrow road again.
Be on guard, my friends. Guard your Anointing. The Lord gave it to you. You were born with it. The enemy wants it. He will do everything he can to steal it from you. Don’t allow him near you. You have been given the Power to rebuke him from your midst. Use that Power and the Name of Jesus! Kick him out and keep him OUT!
The anointing of God will…..…..turn the tide
On guard! Doreen
