Psalm 64:3-4 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the Perfect: suddenly do they shoot at Him and fear not.

This Psalm describes the spiritual warfare that began when Lucifer fell from the Heavens and is still raging today. The battle will go on until the Second Coming of Christ, when He will reign over the entire world as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The entire Bible is a continual story of this battle. All of history reveals this same battle as well, but most people only study it in the natural and fail to see the spiritual implications.

To put it simply, every person who has ever lived on this earth was created by God in His Image to worship Him and serve Him in the capacity in which He created them. No one was ever created in any other image, for any other purpose. We are all a part of God’s Plan but most people don’t choose to have any part in His Plan.

Psalm 64 reveals how the enemy works against the Kingdom of God. The goal of the enemy is to destroy the “Perfect.” Jesus Christ is God’s Perfect and Only Son. It is He the enemy wishes to destroy. Since Jesus lives in the hearts of us (born-again believers), the enemy does everything he can to destroy us.

Satan’s arsenal of demonic spirits sneaks in through any opening they can find and torments the believer with every form of wickedness imaginable. Their goal is to totally destroy the Spirit of Jesus, and they don’t care who they take down in the process.

We have been given the Power of God to not only stand against the enemy but cast him out of our lives. He has no place in the life of the believer, but it is up to us to throw him out and keep him out. We absolutely have the Power to do this. Jesus gave us this Power. It is ours to use to keep our spiritual house clean.

The “Perfect” is alive within you and wants you to live an abundant life in Him. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy His Presence within you and ruin your life. You have a choice to make. We all do. We must choose which God we will serve. We cannot have it both ways. We cannot serve God on Sundays and the devil the rest of the week. It doesn’t work that way.

We will never be perfect, but we have The Perfect living within us to teach, counsel, and guide us on this journey we call life. He is there. He has been there since the day you first believed. He wants to take you by the hand and walk with you every minute of every day. There is an old song that says, “Reach out to Jesus, He’s reaching out to you.”

Only Jesus can…...…..turn the tide
