Luke 4:18 He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
Anyone who has lived very long has been bruised and brokenhearted. Jesus went to the Cross and shed His Precious Blood that we may be healed of our broken hearts and every bruise. This is included in our Benefit Package. God wants to heal every bruise and your broken heart.
Every time someone hurts us, betrays us, abuses us, or is disloyal to us in any way, we are bruised and our heart breaks. In some cases, we are left with only a hairline fracture, but other times our heart is shattered, and we feel like we are literally bleeding to death. Spiritually speaking, we are left untreated; this will control our entire life.
God created us in three parts: spirit, soul, and body. Our spirit is the most important part of us. It directs our soul, which gives direction to our body. Whatever we experience affects our spirit, which will determine what we believe and how we think (our soul). That which we think and believe will direct our words and actions (our body).
If I say to you, “You are incredibly beautiful.” These words will have an effect on your spirit, which instantly directs your soul to think a certain way and believe that you are incredibly beautiful. You automatically feel good about yourself. You begin to see yourself as beautiful. You feel better about yourself. You gain self-confidence. These thoughts and beliefs will bring change to your body and how you act and what you say.
On the other hand, If I say to you, “You are ugly.” These words also have an effect on your spirit. You become depressed because your soul has accepted this and you begin to believe it. These thoughts and beliefs will have a tremendous negative impact on how you act and what you say.
Everything we see and hear affects our spirit, which causes our soul to think a certain way, and we take on certain beliefs that direct our words and actions. These beliefs shape our lives. This is how God created us: spirit, soul, and body.
Jesus shed His Blood on the Cross of Calvary to heal us of all hurts, bruising, and broken-heartedness. His Blood heals all wounds. His Spirit within us is able to renew our broken spirit. When we accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of our life and allow the Holy Spirit of God to dwell within us, everything about us changes because we no longer have the same thoughts and beliefs. We begin to see ourselves (and others) as God sees us; created in His Image!
A few days ago, we discussed the transforming of the mind. Our mind is our soul, and the only way our soul changes is through messages from our spirit. When we take on the Holy Spirit as our own, our soul changes. This is when REAL change takes place because when our soul is affected by our new spirit, we think differently and have new beliefs. This sends new messages to our body, and we act and speak completely differently. This is the process by which God brings real change to people.
Jesus died that you may be saved, healed, and delivered from every sin, bruise, and heartbreak due to the words and actions of others in your life. All this comes by way of you understanding this and allowing the Holy Spirit of God to become one with your spirit.
The Apostle Paul said, But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. This is the Benefit of the Newness of the Spirit, and it's waiting for you to accept it.
The newness of the Spirit will…….turn the tide …….in your life
Praise God for the newness of the Spirit, Doreen
