Psalms 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.
People who don’t walk in faith are operating in unbelief. God sees any heart of unbelief as evil. (Hebrews 3:12) Unbelief stifles the Work of God in our lives. Even Jesus could not perform many Miracles in the town where the people did not believe. Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. (Matthew 13:58)
Obviously, faith is the opposite of unbelief. Therefore, we either believe or we don’t believe. We either have faith in God or we don’t. The Word of God tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17) Hearing in this case is not limited to physically hearing someone speak. We also hear directly from God as the Holy Spirit speaks to our spirits. It is His Voice that brings about real faith in our lives.
If you have ever heard the Holy Spirit speak to you, you know it is God talking. No one can tell you otherwise because you know that you know that you have heard from God. It is this hearing that brings about real faith in our lives.
If we want to live our lives pleasing to God we must have faith in Him. If we don’t believe God can do all things we are not pleasing to God. Without faith it is impossible to please Him. (Hebrews 11:6) This does not mean God does not love us. He loves all of us very much but He wants us to trust Him in every situation of our lives. He wants us to know that we know that He is there working on our behalf. True faith is knowing that you know that God is with you. No one can convince you otherwise.
The Holy Spirit has the responsibility to communicate with people about God. He is very good at this job. However, we must want to hear the Voice of God. The Holy Spirit will never force Himself on anyone. He speaks all the time. The question is: Are you listening? To hear we must listen. To listen we must be quiet and receptive. Be still and know that I am God. (Psalms 46:10)
Shhh. Listen. God wants to……….turn the tide……..in your life!
Listening closely. Doreen
