1 Chronicles 12:1 Now these are they who came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
The 12th Chapter of 1 Chronicles is a wonderful story of victory for God’s people because many were willing to be helpers of the war.
God’s call on His people has always been to fight for Him. The great Apostle Paul wrote about this in his first letter to young Timothy. This charge I commit unto you, son Timothy, according to the Prophesies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare.
Later in that same letter, Paul charged Timothy with the following: Fight the good fight of Faith, lay hold on Eternal Life whereunto you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.
As believers and followers of Christ Jesus, we too have been called to fight the good fight of Faith. Throughout history, God’s people have stood strong for Him and have been willing to give their lives as they lay hold on Eternal Life.
This is the call on us once again today. Will God’s people rise up, recognize the enemy, and be willing to fight? Or will they sit back in the comfort of their homes and expect someone else to defend their freedom and their Jesus?
There are only two places to be in this war: either with God or against Him. We are either willing to defend our faith in Jesus Christ or not.
Once again, God is calling for His helpers of the war as we are facing war in America unlike anything we have known since the Revolutionary War in the 1700s.
God could win this war in an instant, but He is calling for His helpers of the war to rise up and go to battle for Him and with Him. We are here for such a time as this. YOU are here for such a time as this. We each have a part to play and a position to hold. God has prepared us for this time to defend our Christ, our land, and our freedom.
The question before every Christian in America and around the world today is: Will you be a helper of the war? Pray about your answer because one day you WILL stand before God and you WILL answer for your answer.
