John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Here we have one of the greatest Benefits in our Believer’s Benefit Package. It's given to us by Jesus, personally. It is the Benefit of the Helper; the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Truth.
People in the world who don’t know Jesus cannot understand this because it is ONLY for true born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a personal Gift from Jesus to us. the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him;
The Holy Spirit of Truth dwells within every believer. He will reveal to us all Truth. He is our Helper, Guide, Counselor and Teacher. Everything the Holy Spirit imparts to us is Truth; God’s Truth. He is incapable of anything short of the Truth.
As we commit ourselves to listening to the Holy Spirit of Truth and being led by Him, our minds become renewed, and certain old beliefs go by the wayside, replaced with the Truth of God’s Word.
This is when true Salvation, Healing and Deliverance can occur within us. When we know the Truth of God’s Word, we will come to the full understanding that Jesus died for us personally. We will stop seeing ourselves as sinful, worthless human beings and be able to walk in our new identity in Christ.
We will STOP accepting the sin and disease of our family to be a curse on us. We will be able to separate ourselves from the spiritual ties to our family and walk in the fullness of Christ; the new creation that we now have become. This doesn’t mean we no longer love our family. It means we are no longer under the curse of their ungodly sin, disease, and beliefs.
To be set free from the lies, sin, and disease of our family begins with repentance. We must repent for our believing lies. To see yourself in any other way than a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit of God, is a sin.
For example, when a born-again Christian declares themselves to be an alcoholic because everyone in their family, for as far back as they know, has been an alcoholic, they are word-cursing themselves, and that, my friends, is a sin. The same holds true with any sin or disease. Just because everyone in your family has had a certain disease does not mean you have to have it. To believe that is to believe a lie straight from Hell, and that too, is a sin.
Remember, Satan comes but to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) By filling your mind with lies, Satan can rob you of your faith, which will destroy you and ultimately lead to death. Don’t forget the second part of that verse where Jesus said, but I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly!
There is your Promise! If you believe you are destined to be stricken with sin and/or disease because your ancestors have been, you are believing a lie. REPENT! Pray for the Lord to forgive you of the sin of believing lies. Pray for the Holy Spirit of Truth to rule supreme in your life and renew your mind.
You are a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. His Blood runs in your veins. The Holy Spirit of God dwells richly in you. You have a new heart with new desires. You have been given a renewed mind with new thoughts and beliefs. You are not the old person you once were. You are no longer stricken with any generational curse. You are a new creation born again to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Declare that Truth to the world and watch what the Lord can do! Hallelujah! !
The Holy Spirit of Truth will……..turn the tide ……...in your life.
