Colossians 1:27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the Glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the Hope of Glory.

 

Jesus Christ is our source of Hope. Without Him, there is no Hope. People in the world are hopeless because they have not repented of their sins and accepted Jesus as their Savior.

 

The Apostle Paul wrote a lot on the subject of hope. He opened his letter to Timothy by saying Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our Hope. (1 Timothy 1:1)

 

Jesus is our Hope. He is the ONLY source of Hope. We must have faith in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross of Calvary to have the Hope of Glory. There is no other way. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6) God made a Way for all people to be Saved. That Way is by faith in Christ Crucified. That’s it! There is no other way. No matter what people may say, that’s what the Word of God says and we would be well advised to adhere to it over the words of people.

 

The Apostle Paul had one Message: Christ Crucified. We preach Christ Crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the Power of God and the Wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:23) That’s all they preached because that’s all people need.

 

Yesterday, we discussed the fact that in the church today, many people are sugar-coating the Gospel. This is the work of the enemy to rob people of the True Message of the Cross of Christ. ANYONE who does not have faith in the Crucifixion of Christ is not saved. Period. That’s what the Bible says and we all better believe it.

 

The Truth is not a hopeless message. The Truth of the Gospel of Christ is Hope. It is the ONLY Hope for all of mankind. Our Hope is in Christ Crucified on the Cross of Calvary for our sins. Christ in you, the Hope of Glory. (Colossians 1:27)

 

Time is short; very short. Stop listening to a sugar-coated gospel spewed out of the mouths of false teachers. Read the Word of God for yourself. Ask the Lord to give you understanding. Place your faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. That is the faith that brings Hope. All else is worthless and will result in death.
