1 Corinthians 10:5 ....take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Most Christians understand that the Godhead consists of God our Heavenly Father, God His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. However, we must never loose sight of the FACT that the Word is also God. God’s Word is God in written form. Jesus was God’s Word prior to His Incarnation. (Him taking on flesh and becoming man) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14)

Over the past two weeks, we have discussed much about God’s Divine Order for His Universe. We could study 24 hours a day for a hundred years and never fully understand it all, but there is another point that is incredibly important for us to grasp. That point is that, God will NEVER contradict Himself.

No Part of God will ever go against another Part. That is to say that the Holy Spirit of God will NEVER lead us in a direction that is not fully in compliance with the Word, Jesus or the Father’s Divine Order for His Universe. This will simply NEVER happen.

I have heard people say, “The Holy Spirit told me to do such and such or say, this or that.” However, IF their actions or words are not in agreement with the Word of God, those instructions were NOT communicated from the Holy Spirit of God. Therefore, if the thought was not from God, it was from the enemy.

Every thought in our minds has a source. There are only two sources of thought. Every single thought is either from God or from Satan. There is no other source of thought. This is why God (through His Word) instructs us to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:5)

When we take captive all our thoughts and make them obedient to Christ, we WILL walk in total obedience to God and be in step with the Spirit. We will then be in full concurrence with the Word and we WILL therefore, be led by the Holy Spirit and remain in the Will of our Heavenly Father.

Remember, the Father, the Word, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, are One and the same. They are ALL God. When you cause a thought to be completely obedient to Christ you WILL be in full obedience to God in regard to that particular area of your life. This is part of God’s Divine Order for all people. Hallelujah!

God’s Divine Order will........ turn the tide

Praying for greater understanding of God’s Order,      Doreen
