Information Age

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.

Access to information is endless today. Between television, radio, and the internet, people have instant access to just about anything they want to know. The world news is a constant broadcast. Due to telephones and email, we don’t have to wait for a letter to arrive in the mail to hear from someone. Weather forecasts around the world are available at our fingertips, and statistics on any subject are just a click away on the computer or our cell phone.

We are indeed living in the information age, but what information are we seeking? God wants us to seek Him and His Word for information so we can include Him in our everyday lives but I would venture to say, even most Christians do not consult God for much of anything.

The Word of God is the key to our relationship with God. If we seek to live a life pleasing to God, we must read the Bible. There is no other way. This is the purpose for the Bible being given to man.

We all have problems and situations in our lives that cause hardship and confusion. If we will begin every day by reading the Word of God, He will bring light to these dark areas of our lives and although they may be hard to go through, when we look back we can see the Hand of God guiding our every step.

God is for us. He wants us to win and succeed. He does not set traps for us to try to trip us up.  Life is not easy. God never said it would be. However, it is rewarding if we seek Him first in every step we take and live not by bread alone, but by every Word of God.

The Word of God will……..turn the tide
