2 Chronicles 7:21 And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house?’ Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.’
Many Americans are asking, “Why has the Lord allowed all this sin to run rampant in America?” Perhaps the answer is exactly the same as it was in the days of Solomon. “Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.”
The Founding Fathers of America loved God and sought to bring glory to Him in their new nation. They were well versed in the Holy Scriptures and did their best to incorporate them into our Founding Documents and the American way of life.
What has happened in America parallels the events in Israel. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. He does not change. What He said to Solomon, He says to Americans today.
America has forsaken the Lord. As a nation, we have turned away from Him instead of toward Him. Can we really expect Him to bless us and heal our land? I think not.
Here in 2 Chronicles 7, the Holy Scriptures tell us what has happened; why God has done what He has done and what to do to fix it. It’s all right there in black and white. All Americans have to do is read it and obey it.
The question is: Who is willing? I know there are pockets of God’s people praying and repenting across America, but I would venture to say the majority of Americans are not. Life in America is too easy. That may change, my friends. That may very well change, and when it does, it will happen extremely quickly.
The time has come to read 2 Chronicles 7 and make some very important changes in the American lifestyle. It’s not up to the Church leaders or the political leaders of our country. It’s up to us; every American has a decision to make. What god will we serve?
God absolutely WILL……..turn the tide
