Psalm 3:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
Oh, if this would come to pass, what a different world we would live in! Few people truly fear the Lord. The word “fear” really means “to have a healthy respect for.”
If people understood and believed how magnificent, wonderful, and powerful God really is, there would be no choice but to fear Him. God and all His greatness are not taught, and therefore, people just discount Him in their lives. This is an appalling situation, but it is a true picture of the world today.
Satan has put blinders on the eyes of most people, and they do not see the wonders of God or understand the Promises He has made to all of us. Everything we receive from God comes through a Promise made by Him.
Our responsibility is to have the faith to believe His Promises. But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) Without faith, it is impossible to receive anything from God. We may receive it, but without faith, we have no idea of its true origin. Therefore, we live a life of misplaced gratitude.
Question: What do you have that God did not give you or provide for you? Pray and meditate on that for a while, and you will find yourself on your face in gratitude to God, your Creator, Sustainer, and Savior. As the old song goes, He is my everything! What an awesome God we serve. He alone is worthy of our praise!
He alone can……..turn the tide
Incredibly grateful, Doreen
