Knowledge And Anointing

Matthew 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom , and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

The Ministry of Jesus on earth was a pattern for all of us to follow. Jesus spoke to thousands of people and their lives were changed forever. The Word says that He went about teaching and preaching. It has been said that teaching EXPLAINS the Truth and preaching PROCLAIMS it. Both are essential in ministry.

In the early Church, the Truth was preached and taught. Paul and Barnabas also remained in Antioch teaching and preaching the Word of the Lord, with many others also. (Acts 15:35) There was not only one man who spoke to the people. There were many and because of this, the Church grew in numbers very quickly.

Jesus explained the Truth and He also proclaimed it. The people who sat under His Ministry understood and were saved. He had great knowledge of the Word of God and He was Anointed by the Holy Spirit. This made Him the greatest Teacher of all time.

As ministers of the Gospel of Christ, we must be knowledgeable and Anointed. We gain knowledge by studying the Word and seeking understanding. Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Jesus was the greatest teacher in all of history. His listeners believed and were astonished by Him because He had great knowledge and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit upon Him. He declared this about Himself. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has Anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set t liberty them tht are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19)

Jesus set the example for us in living and He also set the pattern for Ministry. We would be well advised to follow both His example and pattern. What could be better?

Jesus died to……….turn the tide……….in your life.
