Let It Shine

Psalm 148:1 Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!

As we continue our study of God’s Divine Order for His Universe, we must understand the fact that human beings and Angels are the only parts of God’s creation with the free will to not obey Him. Everything else in the entire universe obeys God. They have no choice to do otherwise. Example: The sun cannot refuse to shine.

The Person of the Word of God tells us this in several different places, but I believe it is best explained in the 148th Psalm, which reads, Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His Angels; Praise Him, all His Hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the Name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created. He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away. Praise the Lord from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths; Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His Word; Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens; Old men and children.

Let them praise the Name of the Lord, For His Name alone is exalted; His Glory is above the earth and heaven. And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints—Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him.

The human who penned this Psalm is unknown. No man will ever receive the credit for God’s Divine Order for His Universe. This Psalm is credited ONLY to the Holy Spirit of God, as is every word in the Word of God. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (2 Timothy 3:16)

Psalm 148 of God’s Word proclaims His Divine Order for His ENTIRE Universe. As complex as this may seem, it’s really quite simple. The Divine Order of God demands obedience to Him and Him alone. To obey God is to worship Him and praise Him. God created the Universe to worship Himself and exalt only His Name. Nothing of God’s Creation is exempt from this Command. God reiterated this in the First Commandment, You shall have no other gods before Me. (Exodus 20:2)

The Divine Order of God demands our strict obedience to Him, which is continual Praise, Worship, and Exaltation of His Name. We are His Creation. Like the sun that was created to shine, we too, were created for a specific purpose. The sun has no choice but to shine. It is, and always will be, obedient to God. God gave us free will to choose. To shine or not to shine; that is the question. What say you?

Obedience to God will..........turn the tide

Lord, let me shine for you!        Doreen
