Exodus 20:13 Thou shall not murder.
All murder is sin. In America, murder is punishable by death or a life sentence in prison, depending on the circumstances. Either way, the convicted murderer must pay with their life.
Spiritually, murder is a sin that is absolutely forgivable by God when the perpetrator sincerely seeks the forgiveness of God through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
God is the creator of life. Sin robs us of that life. Jesus came so we may have life; eternal life in Heaven, and abundant life here on earth. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
Christianity gives life, sustains life, promotes life, protects life, and ensures life forever and ever. Christianity is all about life.
On the other hand, Islam is all about death. In the book, Reliance of the Traveler (the Classic Manual for Islamic Sacred Law) we read the circumstances when murder is permissible.
Murder is not punishable in the following situations:
A Muslim for killing a non-Muslim.
A Jewish or Christian subject of the Islamic state for killing an apostate from Islam.
A father or mother for killing their offspring, or their offspring’s offspring.
There is no greater crime in Islam than apostasy. Anyone who refuses Islam or turns from Islam is deserving of death according to Islamic Sharia Law.
Life or death. Christianity is all about life. Islam is all about death. The contrast is clear. There are no similarities between Christianity and Islam. We do not worship the same God. Christians worship the God of Life. Muslims worship the God of death.
Jesus said, You will know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:16) What is the fruit of Christianity? What is the fruit of Islam? The answer is evident. Which do you choose: Life or death?
The Giver of life will……..turn the tide
