2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these Promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
One of the greatest Benefits in our Believers Benefit Package is the Benefit of God’s Promises. It is through this that we are able to be cleansed from all defilement of flesh and spirit! Hallelujah!
God’s plans for us are all good. He wants to bless us beyond measure and give us every desire of our heart. Unfortunately, Satan doesn’t want us to have any of that, so he does everything he can to rob us of our faith and freedom in Christ Jesus.
The goal in the life of every believer is to live a life pleasing to God. That sounds easy, but it’s not. It all begins at the Cross of Christ. Without the Cross as the focal point of our faith, we will never see victory over sin in our lives, and we will never be able to live a life pleasing to God.
Everything changed on Crucifixion Day, and to understand exactly what Jesus accomplished on that Day in History will not only change a person’s life, it will totally set them free from anything Satan is attacking them with.
At the Cross, at the Cross, where I first saw the Light and the burdens of my heart rolled away. It was there by faith I received my sight, and now I am happy all the day.
Can you sing this song and mean it? Are you living daily in the Light of the Lord Jesus Christ? Have the burdens of your heart been all rolled away? Are you happy all the day?
The same faith in the Cross of Christ that brought you to Salvation will set you free from anything that is keeping you from living a life pleasing to God. This is a Promise of God to all who choose to believe in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished on the Cross.
