1 Chronicles 12:23 And these are the numbers of the bands who were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the Word of the Lord.

 

In the 12th Chapter of 1 Chronicles, we read of the great Army that came together to defeat the kingdom of Saul and find victory for David. They were a great multitude in number, representing many tribes. They were mighty men of valor who overcame great obstacles, understood their mission, and were ready armed to the war. 

 

Throughout the Old Testament we see Jesus everywhere. Here, David is a representation of Christ. Saul is representative of the world and all its evils. The call on the Body of Christ today is for all believers to come together in courage, band together against the enemy, take a stand and claim Victory in Christ!

 

If believers would join together in unity, live their lives according to the Word of God, and seek FIRST His Kingdom in every aspect of their lives, our world would be an entirely different place in a short period of time.

 

It’s time to stop playing church and put on the full Armor of God and be ready armed to the war.  The Church has wallowed around in the kingdom of Saul for too long. We have become comfortable there and even invited it into our fellowship. This is unacceptable to God.

 

We are called to come apart and be separate from the world. This takes courage. It took great courage for all those men to turn from Saul and come to David. They did it because it was the right thing to do. They did it because they loved God more than the world.

 

Now is the time for all believers to do what’s right and seek the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God. Righteousness is that which is right in the Eyes of God. Jesus loved us enough to give His Life for us.  Because of this, we love Him and are willing to go to battle for Him. We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19) 

 

The Righteousness of God will……..turn the tide
