Love, Peace and Joy

Isaiah 61:3 To give them, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

As we enter into the Christmas Season, our hearts should be filled with the Joy of the Lord because of the Birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him, we would be nothing. Without Him, we would be lost and headed for eternity in Hell. However, because of Him and our faith in His Finished Work on the Cross, we can be filled with Love, Peace and Joy.

This is God’s Plan for our lives: Love, Peace and Joy. No matter our circumstances or current situation, we can have Love, Peace and Joy today and every day because of Jesus and His Sacrifice on the Cross.

If you have been reading the Morning Message for the past several days, I pray that the Holy Spirit has convicted your heart of any unforgiveness and bitterness you may have harbored in your heart toward someone. I say to you today: Let it go. Give it to the Lord. However horrible it may be, it is not worth you losing your Love, Peace and Joy over. Certainly, it is not worth losing your soul over.

To forgive someone is simply an action of the heart. You don’t have to personally go to them and tell them you forgive them. You never have to see them again to forgive them. You simply need to go to the Lord in prayer and tell God that you honestly forgive them and that you have placed them in His Hands to deal with.

The fact is, you cannot control that person who hurt you. Nor can you can fix them or change them. We have no control over anyone in this world except ourselves. The most important relationship you have is your relationship with Jesus Christ. He is your Advocate, Intercessor and Mediator with God Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. When you give up and quit holding that grudge, Jesus will take that situation to the Father and trust me, He WILL handle it.

Unforgiveness and bitterness is a brick wall around you that blocks everything good from coming in. You have built this wall over time and you are the only one who can take it down. God will not tear this wall down. He is waiting for you to take the first brick out and give it to Him. When you do, the wall will begin to fall and as it comes down, everything Good will be able to come into your life.

Forgiveness on our part is a choice we make. Go ahead, take the first brick and give it to Jesus. Trust Him to take it to God. He will. When you do this, you will feel a tremendous release in your spirit. It will be like 1,000 pounds lifted off your back and you will feel the Love, Peace and Joy of the Lord rush in.

God wants To give them(you) beauty, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they (you) may be called trees of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

It starts with one brick. Go ahead and watch God……….turn the tide……..in your life.

All glory to Jesus,        Doreen
