Malachi

Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law.

Malachi was the last Prophet of the Old Testament. Between his time and the time of Jesus' Birth, there were approximately 400 years. These four centuries are known as the "Silent Years." Imagine 400 years of no Prophecy of God spoken through a single Prophet.

God has always spoken through His Prophets, and His people listened to the Word of the Lord through these people. But, after Malachi, God Almighty spoke not a Word for 400 years.

During that time, although the Lord did not speak, much was happening in the world to prepare for the Birth of the long-awaited Messiah, Jesus Christ. A study of this time period is fascinating. From one Empire to the next, various leaders rose up to rule the world, and during this time, the Jews came under severe attack, and many were killed. With each ruling Empire, life for God's people became worse and worse. Just before the Birth of Christ, Herod the Great came into power. He was a brutal and cruel man.

Through these 400 years of turmoil, God was preparing the world for the Birth of His Son, who would change history for all mankind. Finally, the true "King of the Jews" would be born in a very unique way, unlike anything the world had ever seen before, or since.

The advent of Jesus' Birth was ordained by God and was only achieved when all preparations had been made. God's Plan for His People has always been quite extraordinary! When we study the true History of mankind and the world, we can see the Hand of God everywhere! Nothing happens by chance. No man or nation comes into power that God Almighty does not allow it or cause it to happen.

God's Plan for His Universe is in place. We are a part of that Plan. We can choose to be used for the Good of His Plan or not. He gives us each the free will to choose which God we will serve. Either way, God's Plan will play out exactly as He has ordained it. Anything we do, or don't do, will never change that.

We each have a very important choice to make. We can choose to serve the devil and this world, or we can choose to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Together we sing, Joy to the world, the Lord has come! Let Earth receive her King! The glories of, His Righteousness repeat the sounding joy! Repeat the sounding joy! Repeat, repeat the sounding joy!

I love the third verse of this song that says, He rules the world with Truth and Grace, and makes the nations prove; the glories of His Righteousness and Wonders of His Love, and Wonders of His Love, and Wonders, Wonders of His Love!

The Wonders of God's Love will...........turn the tide

Basking in the Wonders of His Love,      Doreen
