1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all Grace, who has called us unto His Eternal Glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, established, strengthen, and settle you.
Our faith in Jesus and His Sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary is what enables us to get through the suffering in our lives. Only the Grace of God can accomplish this for us.
In this life, we will suffer. It is a part of life. It's not easy or pleasurable, but the Word of God says, For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18) Praise God for His Glory that shall be revealed in us!
The Holy Spirit of God is our Comforter. When Jesus went to be with the Father in Heaven, He sent the Comforter to us. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. (John 16:7)
The Holy Spirit of God will never leave us. This is a Promise made by Jesus as He spoke in John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;
Every born-again Christian has immediate and continual access to the Holy Spirit of God. Isn't that wonderful! The Gifts of God are immeasurable.
We begin with the Gift of a Heavenly Father who created us and has a plan for each of our lives. He loves us so much. He gave us the Gift of His Son, who willingly sacrificed His Life on the Cross of Calvary that we may be saved, born again, forgiven, set free from the bondage of sin, and assured of a place in Heaven for all of eternity.
To top it all off, we have been given the Gift of the Holy Spirit who abides in us as our Teacher, Counselor, Healer, and Comforter. He has the ability to bring us everything we need and could ever ask for. He is the Power of God, and that Power dwells inside us!
At this time of the year, many are thinking about gifts. What shall we buy for our loved ones? We ask, What do you want for Christmas? Most can rattle off a long list of wants but let us be satisfied with the Greatest Gifts of all time: The Gifts of God; A Heavenly Father that loves us beyond our wildest imagination, Jesus Christ, our Savior, Lord and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit who can teach us, counsel us, heal us and comfort us in our time of need.
When you think about it........Really, what more could we ask for?
We give you praise, Lord God! You alone can..........turn the tide
Needing nothing more! Doreen
