The sin of witchcraft is extremely complex and goes far beyond visiting a fortune teller. Yesterday we defined witchcraft as: Any power that is not of God.
When we trust or believe in any power that is not of God, we are practicing witchcraft. Do you read your horoscope? Do you carry a good luck charm? Are you superstitious about some things? Do you believe someone can tell you things about yourself by looking at your hands or eyes? Do you read the stars in the sky? Do you play with the ouija board or other such games that proclaim to foretell the future?
To look to ANYTHING for power and wisdom other than God and His Word is rebellion against God and is witchcraft. Some may say, "Oh, it's only a game." God DOES NOT play games when it comes to sin. To seek power and wisdom from any source other than God is very dangerous indeed.
God gives power to those who believe the truth. What is the Truth? Jesus declared Himself to be the Truth. The Word of God is the Truth. After all, Jesus is the Word made flesh. (John 1:14) Jesus and the Word are one and the same, and they are the Truth.
Believers have a tremendous Benefit in the Power of God, but Satan is the father of lies and the author of confusion. He will do whatever he can to confuse you about supernatural power; that’s why it is so important that we know the Word of God. When we know the Truth we can identify falsehood. Satan easily disguises himself as God, and if we are not well versed in the Truth of God’s Word, we will accept the counterfeit as real.
When we do this, we have taken the bait of witchcraft and begin trusting in the power of Satan and his lies. Do your homework, people. Study the Word of God. Pray for greater discernment. Ask God to reveal to you anything in your life that falls into the sin category of witchcraft. The Lord will grant you this request because He loves you and wants you to seek Him for all Power in your life.
We serve a supernatural God who is far more powerful than Satan ever thought to be. Seek the Lord God Almighty for Power. Recognize Satan for the liar and imposter he is and cast him out. If you want God to use you in a powerful way, remember, God gives Power to those who believe the Truth and Jesus is the Truth. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6)
The Power of God will…………turn the tide...........in your life!
