Romans 8:1 There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.
Yesterday, we began a discussion on what it means to be in Christ. In Greek, this is written en Christos. The Apostle Paul used this phrase seventy-five times in his writings. To be in Christ is to continually abide in Him and His Finished Work on the Cross. Therein lies all the Benefits of the born-again Christian.
Since we are all sinners and are separated from God, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are Forgiven of all our sins and therefore, no longer guilty in the Eyes of God. For most people, this is probably the greatest Benefit of being in Christ.
In his letter to the Romans, Paul wrote There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1) While it is absolutely true that we all deserve condemnation, for those who are in Christ there is none!
People will condemn us but God does not condemn us. Some are condemned by the courts of the land and sentenced to years in prison. Some may even receive a death sentence, but if these people are in Christ God does not condemn them.
This is the definition of Redemption and it is the most beautiful Gift of God. When we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord and place our faith in His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary, we are Redeemed and There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1) Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!
Faith in Christ will……..….turn the tide……….in your life.
No Condemnation! Doreen
