No More Condemnation

Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.

For the past two days, we have been discussing this Passage of Scripture. The subject is “condemnation.” In reading many commentaries on this Passage, most define condemnation as guilt, and most people look at this as the guilt they inflict on themselves and that which is brought on by others and by God.

While all this is absolutely true, the Lord has shown me another aspect of condemnation and guilt. It is natural for people to want to be personally set free from any and all guilt and condemnation. No one wants to live in such a state, but the Lord showed me that the lack of condemnation in our lives is not only for us but also the condemnation we heap on others.

When we judge other people and condemn them, we are walking in condemnation because you cannot give something you do not have. The Word clearly says, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

Therefore, if we are saved and born again in Christ Jesus and have chosen to walk after the Spirit, we will not only be free from any and all condemnation ourselves, but we will also be free from condemning others. There will be no condemnation in us, whether it be on the receiving end or the giving side.

Jesus never condemned anyone. He ministered to them through teaching and miracles, signs and wonders. We have no right to condemn anyone for anything.  People don’t need to be condemned; they need to be encouraged and lifted up by Jesus, the Word of God, and the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Any time we beat someone down with condemnation, we are lifting ourselves up. This is self-righteousness and pride, and God hates pride.

We have all been gifted by God in some way. The gifts we have been given are to be used to edify and lift each other up. In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, the Word of God says, Therefore comfort each other and edify one another,  just as you also are doing.

Also in Ephesians 4:11-12, And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ,

We are saved, born again, and gifted to bring glory to God and edify one another. Therefore, there will be no condemnation (given or received) for those which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. When we walk after the Spirit, He will set us free from all condemnation and lead us into all Truth!

I love it when God brings new revelation through His Word! Let there be no condemnation in us at all. None for us and none for anyone else as we walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Praise God!

The Word of God will……..turn the tide

No condemnation,      Doreen
