Esther 4:14 Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?
Those of you who know me know that I love numbers. Today’s date is April 14th. Numerically written: 4/14.
The story of Esther is a phenomenal one. She was created by God and lived at a precise time in history to affect the Kingdom of God. The same is true with every person created by God, including you.
We are all alive on earth for such a time as this. God has a plan for each of our lives, just like He did for Esther. So, why don’t most people ever come to know His purpose or plan? They don’t see it because they are not looking for it and seeking God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness with all their hearts.
Most believers only concern themselves with spending eternity in Heaven and never seek God’s Plan for their life here on earth. That’s why there are so many miserable Christians. To live in God’s Pasture of Plenty and enjoy the Abundant Life that Jesus died for us to have, we must be obedient to God’s Call on our lives. This is not an easy thing to do because, not only are we up against the enemy and his attack, but many times our family and fellow believers are fighting us all the way as well.
How many times have we been invited to go somewhere or do something by a fellow believer that is NOT within the “fences” of God’s Pasture of Plenty? How often have our own family members and brothers and sisters in Christ been frolicking around out in the world and beckoning us to join them?
How many times do we share what we believe to be God’s Plan for us with our Pastor or Spiritual Mentor, only to be discouraged by them? All these (and more) happen to the believer every day. That’s why we must LISTEN and OBEY the Voice of the Holy Spirit and not that of other people.
We are each alive on earth to benefit the Kingdom of God at such a time as this. Every year on April 14th (4/14) I am reminded of the Story of Esther. Pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you His Plan for your life. Do not be afraid and do not seek the advice of others. Listen to His Voice alone. He will NEVER lead you to, or through, the fence. He will, however, guide you back into the deep, lush grass of the Pasture of Plenty where the Cross of Christ stands at the Center and is the Cornerstone of the Abundant Life. There you will understand your purpose and hear the Lord say, you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this.
Obedience to the Voice of the Lord will........... turn the tide ........in your life.
Listening very closely, Doreen
