Luke 19:13 Occupy till I come.

 

For the past several days we have been studying what happened the day Peter and John administered Healing to the crippled beggar at the Temple Gate named Beautiful. It’s a familiar Passage of Scripture found in the 3rd Chapter of the Book of Acts.

 

Verses 1 thru 10 are the actual account of the Healing of this man. Peter simply said to him, Silver and gold have I none: but such as I have give I to you: In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. (Acts 3:6) Instantly the man was Healed. His life was forever changed and his Eternal Life in Heaven was made sure due to his faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

 

It is God’s Will to see people changed. That is the purpose of the New Testament Church. We are not called to do certain things at a certain time week after week. We are called to minister to the people what they need. This is what Peter and John did for the crippled beggar and his life was changed. BUT far more people were affected by his Healing than just him and THIS is the purpose of ministry.

 

And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. (Acts 3:10-11)

 

Solomon’s Porch was on the East side of the Temple where it was cool and is said to have been approximately 800 feet long. Needless to say, it was a BIG covered area where hundreds if not thousands of people could gather.

 

It was 3:00 in the afternoon when this happened. People were coming in droves to the Temple for the Evening Sacrifice. God chose this time to perform this Miracle so all those people could witness it and witness it they did! Their lives were changed that day too.

 

Everything God does is to bring Glory to Himself and draw people to Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. God is in the Miracle Business. That is what He does. Jesus performed countless Miracles during the time of His Ministry here on earth. He told us through a Parable to Occupy till I come. (Luke 19:13) That means to keep on doing what He did. That’s why we have been given Spiritual Gifts and Callings. We are to keep doing His Work until He returns and that won’t be long now.

 

Jesus is coming back…..SOON! All the signs point to His return and the Rapture of His Church. Let us be about the Father’s Business today and every day. Today is the day of Salvation.

 

God could……….turn the tide……….today.
